Caroline Simon has extensive experience representing institutional lenders in complex commercial real estate transactions. As lender’s counsel, Caroline gained expertise in drafting and negotiating loan documents, reviewing title documents, analyzing leases, and handling business entity matters. She has substantial experience handling transactions involving multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial properties. She brings this background to her representation of entrepreneurs, landowners, and developers in a variety of real estate transactions and land use matters. Caroline most enjoys helping her clients find practical and creative solutions to their problems.

Caroline grew up in Sarasota, Florida. She received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Political Science from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and her law degree from Fordham University in New York, New York. At Fordham, she was a staff member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and was the 2003 recipient of the O’Connor Prize for the highest average in Evidence and New York Practice.

Caroline spent the first eight years of her legal career in New York City before joining McLean & Howard in 2011. She is also a member of the Real Estate Section of the Austin Bar Association, Travis County Women Lawyers Association, Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association (MAMAs Austin), and CREW Austin.
